High dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight. Today, we are showing you 35 Truly Stunning Examples of HDR Photography. There’s about 5 in there that I like. This only goes to confirm my dislike for the falseness of much HDR. Some of the images are downright awful in my opinion, by being over compressed and over saturated.
Thanks for the gallery all the same.

35 over-cooked photographs. HDR, properly done, doesn’t look like over-saturated Photoshopped creations.
Brilliant collection! Tower Bridge and the Buddhist temple look amazing, but my favourite is the one from Ricketty Jetty.
Great post, thanks for sharing.

Yet another pathetic set of boring HDR images, and a perfect example of everything thats wrong with modern photography.
“I appreciate to all those talented photographers who captured these excellent pictures with their efforts, imaginations and creativity to give us a chance to see these creative wonders from their creative eyes.”
Someone please explain to me the creativity involved with taking a photo a bridge, a light house, a pier etc…. and then using a program to enhance the image. There is nothing creative about HDR. It is however a fantastic way to make bad photographs look even worse. These are not creative wonders, nor do these photographers have creative eyes. They are not excellent images and there is not much effort involved. I give this post a massive FAIL
Terrible, not stunning.
The hand has overplayed itself in most of these shots and that’s why HDR such as this will only ever be a niche output.
Please tell me when is a reflected sky brighter than the original sky? It is in many of these.
Cheers
Rob
I am sorry, you gues need to work much harder and get better compilers here. Most photos here are drab at best!
