I think iplotz.com is a very nice tool.. I used it this year, and have been pretty impressed with it. It has some nice collaboration features.

  3. Toni says:

You should also check out http://diagramo.com , built with HTML5

  4. Wojciech Skowronek says:

    Hi Muhammad,

There is also ProtoShare, which does grey-box wireframing and high-fidelity prototypes for websites and applications.

ProtoShare is web-based, so it can be accessed anywhere you have an Internet connection, enables collaboration between team members to provide real-time feedback, and can export to HTML and web, as well as to a detailed specification document.

Let me know if you have questions or would like a free trial.

Balsamiq Mockups – based on Adobe AIR, so a desktop version is also available
Creately (general Visio replacement) – based on Adobe Flash

  8. Bob says:

Why is ForeUI not mentioned? I think it’s even been featured on SmashingApps, hasn’t it?

  9. AN Jay says:

@Bob, That’s because ForeUI is not a web application and this list only contains all the free solutions.

The best web app I’ve come across for wireframing is iPlotz, as has already been mentioned. Really easy to use and produces great wireframes.

Another good, and free, app is Gliffy – www.gliffy.com, which is an online diagram tool but can be used for wireframing.

  11. Vishu Ramanathan says:

If you already have a tool you like to use to create mockups or wireframes, mocklinkr.com is a great way to share them with your clients.

Instead of emailing a bunch of pictures you can send them a clickable website. It’s really simple to use: just upload your images and link them together.

Balsamiq is pretty good solution for mockups, light and Adobe Air, but I think that the best solution is MockFlow.

  13. John says:

LucidChart – http://www.lucidchart.com – is my fave for wireframing and iPhone mockups.

  14. Sebabrata Banerjee says:

I don’t know if people here are Microsoft-friendly. Most of their tools , including the Windows OS, draws a lot of criticism these days. But I created a huge set of wireframes using Visio. I am very satisfied. You can also produce wonderful results, given you have the right stencils downloaded from various sites. Cheers!

  15. Amrita Mathur says:

Dont forget about Protoshare! They do more than just wireframing though. Check ’em out: www.protoshare.com

  16. Etienne says:

You should also check Justinmind, a great wireframing tool to create dynamic wireframes without coding!
