Great list. The photo slideshow thing didn’t work when I installed it, but it would have been nice to have. I use StatCounter’s plugin for stats, since I’m also using it for my website stats.
Great list of plugins, I think 10 of the 13 are new to me. I’m a big fan of how you can extend the functionality of wordpress blogs. Writing plugins is easier than you think, that’s for sure.
The I Love Social Bookmarking plugin looks nice but it doesn’t get the job done. Highly recommend the Add to Any Share/Save plugin:
Hi,
Great article. I must try out some of these (WP Easy Uploader sound particularly interesting).
Here is a list of plugins to build a solid foundation for your wordpress blog which I had already put together. Only one common: WP SuperCache.

Another plugin that seems to be kept on the down-low is the “Admin Drop Down Menu” by Ozh. It makes navigating the wordpress admin much easier.

Hey thanks for the list. I went ahead and downloaded several of these this evening. I specifically like the Plugin Manager. That will make it a lot easier to install new plugins on the fly for me. Manageable is pretty neat too, especially since I tend to mis-categorize things from time to time.

Thanks for listing the plugin I wrote. I hope that people like it. It’s the Submit Your Blog plugin. Thanks again.

I have made some modifications to I LOVE SOCIAL BOOKMARKING PLUGIN - Show / Display icons and text by default on page load for - I Love Social Bookmarking plugin (Wordpress Social Bookmarking)
Most of the Social Bookmarking plugins show only icons and/or text and you need to click on that icon and/or text to display the complete options. I have changed the behavior to display some by default for them to be more VISIBLE.
Check my BLOG - http://www.coolwebdeveloper.com for further info.
Awesome post. I will be implementing a few of these plugins right away. Also, I have a question, perhaps you could send me an email if you know the answer.
I have wordpress installed multiple times, on the site: creative-deconstruction.com
and creative-deconstruction.com/blog
and creative-deconstruction.com/thieftales
But I find that logging in to all of these sites and managing them separately (ie: stats, adsense, theme and plugin management, and widgets) has multiplied the time demands by at least 3…
Is there a way to use a single wordpress account and use it with multiple pages with different URLs and perhaps slightly different sidebars on each site?
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated…
Thanks,
-G
