18 Creative Poverty Posters That Can Create Effective Awareness!
SmashingApps and Poverty posters? I know you are surprised to see this but let me tell you the reason behind this. a few days ago, I got a chance to visit and explore Blog Action Day website and it was really inspiring for me that as a blogger I should help them to spread the word about their mission. I found the way that if I write a post about poverty in a way that my visitors will not get bored as well and I will also get success to convey their message to the millions of visitors coming to SmashingApps.
I really like this statement on Blog Action Day website
“the blogging community effectively changes the conversation on the web and focuses audiences around the globe on that issue”
Then I decided to be the part of this campaign. As I told you above that I was searching for the topic that will not make visitors to be bored so I decided to convey Blog Action Day message with the magical images related to poverty. Yes, they are trying to create the awareness about the real problem exists in this world and many of us really do not realize in the way it is.
Here, I listed some collection of images which are posters, photographs, etc and in all of the pictures below you will see the severeness of poverty and how billions of children are effecting with this. It’s a time we should not forget our role and let’s help them or at-least create some awareness from that platform which we have.
I hope at the end of this post you will realize that we live in 2 separate worlds. Spread the word and be a part of this campaign.

I particulary like the last one, which illustrate the gap between rich people in devolpped countries and poor people in 3rd world countries. However, no matter how great these posters are, what you need to focus on, is a way to MAKE a difference ![]()

Thanks for including my UNICEF poster in your roundup. As the comment by Mathieu says, let’s hope all of these images can make a difference.
[…] so happy to see that Smashing Apps was encouraged enough by this year’s Blog Action Day to write a post on creative poverty posters. One of those the blog includes is a photo by yours truly to raise awareness on child poverty in […]
Intense. And very well designed.
Hope each gets the word out to the world effectively.

Nice idea, but where are the posters that try to drive the people living in those countries to have less children?
Less children = smaller resources consumption = better living conditions for those children.
the pictures touched my heart. They are so true and appealing.I will be obliged if i can help in any way eradicate poverty.
Thanx.
I found this work inspiring.
lets all make poverty history before its too late.

and i would just like to say to you ADe, unless you’re providing contraception for the 3rd world country who you’re clearly forgetting cant even afford water let alone condoms, then your comment about having less children is a little bit stupid.
think before you speak you moron. unless you’re telling everyone to stop having sex, which is pretty much the only good thing going for these people, just take away their last ounce of love why don’t you. better yet, cut off their reproduction organs. IDIOT.
