Yeah, now do one with InDesign… it’ll start going back down into dopey town towards the end, with CS5 ID brimming with endless stupid annoying new ‘features’ that screw up fast, easy work. Adobe need to do a Snow Leopard on the entire range sooner rather than later, to make it lean and mean again.

This would be great but it is wrong information and Adobe knows it. Photoshop 1.0 was first used in November 1989 on the book; 15 Seconds. That was it’s birth. It was later launched, packaged and sold in 1990, but it began with it’s first usage with the book 15 Seconds. Thanks Adobe for recognizing the more than 200 volunteers who worked on that great book effort. BTW: the screen angles for color seps in 1.0 were wrote and tested on the book. Adobe needs new PR people who recognize were the real contributions came from.
I still remember installing 2.5 on my OS/2 laptop! I think it was three floppies. When 3.0 came out, I quickly had my company purchase it and, well, the rest is history. Sadly, due to the extreme markup in cost – the upgrade price is more than 2.5 new was! – I now skip every other version.
It’s amazing how the evolution of Photoshop summarizes the evolution of own web and the way we interact and think.

Great work here. One omission, Photoshop 3.0 was also released to run on Silicon Graphics workstations running IRIX (SGI version of UNIX)
