I’m not sure how you forgot this one, of Song Hye Kyo. It’s almost 4 years old, but was possibly the first photo-realistic CG image to take the internet by storm. And it’s still good to this day.

These are really good, although I could tell they were fake with all of them. Maybe the title was just misleading, b/c I have seen some that are really impossible to know, and these seemed a little bit more stylized.

3D Studio Max and ZBrush for the 3d renders, the Orlando Bloom and Angelina ones are most likely done in either Photoshop or painter with a Wacom Intuos tablet.
Breathtaking is absolutely the right phrase! My favourite is ‘Do you want fries with that?’ I like the way it looks as if you just caught the moment, the facial expressions are wicked!
