Lazyscope is a free desktop application made for Twitter users to help them get a better Twitter stream. Since the app is based on Adobe Air, it is cross-platform i.e. whether you have a Mac or Windows computer, the only prerequisite is Adobe Air. After downloading and installing the ~1.5MB setup file you sign into your Twitter account using the app. The app will then display the Twitter stream without your having to open your web browser. Online Event Registration Made Easy With GuestListApp

On the internet you will find many ways to create events and invite people to them. The standard procedure is to name your event, add a description, and specify the date plus time. Then you share the event’s URL with your friends directly or over your online social networking accounts; alternatively you can send friends email notifications or SMS notifications, depending on the website you are using.

But what if you wanted to create an event that required the attendees to purchase a ticket? Suppose you were the manager of a popular band and about to setup a small performance that people needed to pay for to watch. If you would like manage such an event online, then pay a visit to GuestListApp.

GuestListApp is a standard event creation website with one distinguishing feature: it lets you set ticket prices as well. When you create an account on the site and first login, you see a somewhat empty dashboard.

To create a new event, click on the button on the right saying “+New Event.” This will pop up a mini-window where you can enter your event’s details.

The details you can include are the event’s name, starting and ending dates plus timings, and the time zone your specified times refer to.

After this step you get an event checklist which you can see to complete your event.

To make your event’s page visually appealing you can upload a logo. Also remember to specify the event’s location. In the ticket information, you enter the price of each ticket.

You can specify different types of tickets.

GuestListApp charges 2% of each ticket sold. In case your event requires no tickets (i.e. ticket price is $0) you are not charged anything by the site.

When you are done adding details to your event, you can publish it on the web and monitor how many tickets have been sold so far.

Save Your Bookmarks With Historious And Always Get Access to Them

Normally when you work with separate computers, there are not many ways you can share your bookmarks. Chrome has worked out a brilliant bookmark synchronization strategy that automatically keeps all your bookmarks updated but for this you need a Google account. Moreover many other browsers do not have such synchronization features. Having access to your bookmarks therefore, is quite a problem. And Historious is its solution.

Historious stores your bookmarks by indexing them, much like a search engine does. Usage of Historious is absolutely free. You start by creating an account on the site. After you sign in, you can drag the Historious bookmarklet on to your bookmarks toolbar; if you are a Chrome user, you can either use the bookmarklet or the Historious extension for Chrome.

Whenever you are on a website, all you do is click on the extension icon or bookmarklet to add the website to your Historious bookmarks. A message will pop up in the top right telling you that the page is being indexed.

A completion message is shown after the page has been indexed.

Another way to add bookmarks to your Historious account is by visiting http://USERNAME.histori.us/ (replace USERNAME with your Historious username) and either typing the URLs of all websites or upload a bookmarks file created by a web browser or services like Delicious.
