New Customization Features Added to Google News
Google News has undergone extensive testing by Google and finally the service now has a number of notable customization options. Read on to learn about them:
1. Topics you can subscribe to
In the left pane of Google News, you will find a topics list. Click on any topic to find news related to it. When the news open up, you will find a button which lets you add that topic to your personalized news page thereby subscribing to the topic.
2. News For You
News For You is a brilliant idea by Google. You can edit the news topics by filtering them out of your news feed. New topics can be added by entering keywords in the search bar provided in the News For You box. You can also specify the frequency with which you read about each topic so that news is correspondingly arranged.
3. Selecting / Deselecting News Sources
If there is a certain news source that you prefer, you can click on “Settings” at the top of the page, select “News settings” and start typing the sites you’d like to see more often in Google News. On the other hand if there is a news source you do not like, you follow the same procedure and eliminate the news source from your feed.
4. Social Network Integration
Clicking on the small arrow in the top right corner of each news cluster will drop down networks on which you can share the current news. This is a great way to let your friends know of anything interesting you read.
5. Keyboard Shortcuts
Some keyboard shortcuts have been added to enhance the user experience. The following keys apply: j or n (next story), k or p (previous story), / (search), s (star), . or f (share), Enter (open the headline article for the current story).

Opera 10.6: 10 Strong Reasons To Switch Over To Opera

IDrive Gives Online Data Backup Facility With Up To 10GB Free Space
In case of serious physical damage to your computer, no form of software security solution is going to protect your data. Your best option is to backup your important data online. That way it is accessible from anywhere even if your primary computer gets physically damaged.
One of the best online data backup options available is IDrive. It is an online service that offers different paid packages for online data backup. Additionally they have a free evaluation package which provides up to 2 GB of online storage. While on the free package, if you refer five people and they start using IDrive too, your 2 GB storage capacity is upgraded to 10 GB.

StarBucks Now Offers Free Wi-Fi Access In US And Canada
Restaurants, food chains, and all other eating places have tapped into a new way to attract customers: offering free Wi-Fi access. You might have seen the “Free Wi-Fi” notice outside many food places. The tactic works brilliantly. Not only do customers come in, but they keep on ordering stuff to stay in the restaurant and use the free net service on their laptop or smartphone.
Starbucks has been using this tactic for a long time now. But they restricted their free Wi-Fi to iPhone users and AT&T subscribers. You could see many iPhone owners occupying chairs in Starbucks with their coffee going cold on the table while they browsed the web on their handheld device.
The coffee chain had announced plans to extend their Wi-Fi service to everybody on July 1st. Today is July 1st and in accordance with their announcement, Starbucks now offers free Wi-Fi to everybody in their vicinity. Now not only the iPhone owners, but everybody with a laptop or smartphone will be able to Tweet about their latest activities in Starbucks.
People will be able to access free Wi-Fi through a 2-click process. The first click will confirm agreement with Starbucks’ usage policy and the second click will connect to Wi-Fi. Free Wi-Fi will be available at all Starbucks stores in the US and Canada.
