Thanks for the post.

I used pivotal tracker successfully on a couple of projects.

As with anything else its important that a tool does not define a process but a tool assists a solid, proven process.

Scrum is a great simple light process to me.

As an Scrum advocate and consultant for teams that use scrum or some form of it I think http://www.Scrumdo.com lends itself better to the process.

I would also check the new alternative – smartQ (http://www.getsmartQ.com).

It has the same concept – ticket board view, but has an universal approach, so it can work with any business, not just software development. It’s highly customizable and even support custom fields for the tickets.

Yes Pivotal Tracker is really well done and we are using it for all our projects now. One thing it was missing was a “Pin Board” view of the current iteration but then Google Chrome saved my day.

I developed an extension to do just that
