Hello Jeremy, Thank you for your support and suggestion but what we think is its not our mistake that we bring this knowledge to the world. However, it’s a BIG QUESTION on digg algorithm and I feel they have to clear this at any level but I know they will never do this.

If we will be penalized on digg so it will be another STRONG proof that what we have said above is absolutely correct and they have to make their algorithm fool proof for fair game.

P.S. With all hate and love (and excluding this issue)with digg, I am one of the ADDICTED DIGGER

Digg has a nasty reputation for penalizing websites for any tiny little reason they can find. They’re HUGE jerks. I would probably delete this story, if I were you Smashing Apps- depending on your traffic from Digg. Although it’s a “noble” post, sometimes the punishment isn’t worth it in the long run. All the best, though.

I don’t think so it needs sensalization that the digg story was submitted by Digg Ex-CEO, so it got popular. I think its a bug in the Digg Trend and hopefully it will be sorted out.

I had witnessed similar thing happened to another story: http://digg.com/soccer/A_bit_fucking_late_now

This story failed on Digg Trend but saw it on front page after a while. You can the submitter is not a power user or has no connection with digg. Unfortunately, I don’t have any evidence to show that this story failed on trend. (But I hope you will take my words )

In the end, I feel SmashingApps will have huge role in getting this fixed.
