Basically high speed photography is a technique of capturing images with a remarkably quick shutter speed and mostly used for the scenes which cannot be seen with naked eyes. For high speed photography, you can use more or less any SLR camera, but an expensive camera can reach a much faster shutter speed and high speed photography is the game of shutter speed. some of these were really cool – and quite obviously some are not real, but you really should have noted that a lot of light and a good (highly reactive finger-on-the-trigger) photographer is also necessary to get the real shots, not just a fast shutter…
Many of these shots required exposures on the order of microseconds – well beyond the capabilities of even the fastest SLR shutter. A strobe light is required to attain these speeds. I doubt these have been photoshopped. I have seen such photos taken in the 1950′s and ’60s, before photoshop was invented.

These shots are so incredibly beautiful. What is your preferred camera for most of these types of shots, especially the water droplet shots?
I’m doing some pieces over at http://www.digitalcamerasratingssite.com on this exact subject and would like to know, based on your findings and other around this blog what the best camera is for these shots, in particular.
