What about https://www.getdropbox.com/? ![]()
I would suggest using https://spideroak.com
Secure, 2GB Free, Multi-platform client for windows, mac and linux and includes backup and sync as well as webshare.
Just to clarify: Skydrive provides 25GB space for free (in which, Upload size per file is max. 50 MB), not just 5 GB..
Very interesting sites! DivShare is a good suggestion. Though it has a limit to the size of the file that can be downloaded by one account. Thanks for sharing them. ![]()
You missed DigitalBucket http://www.digitalbucket.net ! Feature rich
I’m really surprised that dropbox isn’t there.
Just an idea – one could use a web OS to store and share files. Like iCloud has 50GB of free storage.
I’ve been looking into these kinds of sites recently and I really love DropBox. http://getdropbox.com/
Thanks for the list!
Maybe you could shed some light for me… I’m not sure why TrueShare gets left off of almost every list created. We’ve been in business since ‘06 as TrueShare and as EasyFTP for three years prior. 256 bit encryption, customization and integration, send-a-link, direct link, photoshare, auto trans, TS Explorer, desktop drop box, reporting, no advertisement, no spam, UNLIMITED USERS, support that answers the phone, etc.
Please review and consider in future lists! Our free seven day trial is not restricted in any way, no CC required, no strings! If you would like an extended trial to evaluate further please call TrueShare.com at 877-700-4999 ext. 110
Thanks for consideration!
Mitch
I have been using dropbox for almost a year, and I have found it awesome.
Please do consider dropbox as well in your list.
I also like Dropbox. Recently I found out how to get 2.25GB for free instead of just 2GB. When you sign-up use a ref link such as this one https://www.getdropbox.com/referrals/NTY5NDQzOQ
Good article. We recently launched a similar service called FileShare HQ (http://www.filesharehq.com). It’s key feature is working with the pro workflow, allowing uploads from the web app AND FTP, great for photogs, film makers and the like.
1GB storage is free forever.
Hope you can feature it one day – drop me a note for more info!

I like and use DriveHQ Online Backup Service.
Reasons:
Integrated with Windows file manager.
Reliable and stable software.(Windows only)
Realtime or scheduled backup.
Backup of files in use.
Backup Folders or individual files.
Retention of file versions as changes are made.
Reasonably priced.
1 Gig free.
The Company is focussed on quality.
I believe their product is underrated. Probably one of the very best services available.
