You can add a link to a web site by just typing in the address, or you can add addresses from your browser.

Because Transferr is web-based, you can access your Transferr home page from any computer, or any phone browser, anywhere in the world. To drag and drop to re-arrange icons, grab the top of any icon with your mouse and drag, you’ll notice a ‘Save Order’ button will appear at the top and bottom of the page when you start dragging. You can rearrange as much as you like.

In Transferr 1.0 you can save your web-browsers bookmarks and add them to Transferr as icons, it’s easy to do, just click the “Add an Icon” icon and click Import Bookmarks, we’ll show you how to do it depending on your web-browser.

So this site does exactly what safari 4 does. Why would I use an external source?

Hi, I’m one of the developers working on Transferr – thanks Smashing Apps for the post. In response to bogdan pop’s comment, Transferr is more useful than Safari 4’s start page as the bookmarks saved with Transferr are available anywhere. Once setup, these bookmarks can be used from home, work abroad in internet cafes and even on a mobile browser.

The service already available in igoogle? just another service?

This is nice, but practically every web browsers have this features all ready. Though it will come in handy if your far away from your computer, then again comes the many other social bookmarking sites that I signed-up and I’m thinking, do I really want to sign-up,..I said, no.
